Our Location

We offer an enchanting setting for you, your family, and friends to come together and celebrate.  At our 78-acre ranch—centrally located between Bozeman and Livingston—your guests will have access to two miles of scenic trails and two miles of creek-front property—perfect for fishing.

Our Venue

For your ceremony, the lawn offers a picture-perfect view of Ross Peak with plenty of gathering space. In the event of weather changes, our barn is ready to host your ceremony, reception, or after-party, accommodating 200+ guests comfortably.

The striking black exterior of our barn serves as an elegant backdrop for wedding photos. Inside, the whitewashed walls provide a clean, neutral canvas, allowing your flowers, decor, and personal touches to take center stage.

We Provide the Essentials, You Perfect the Details

Hardscrabble Ranch provides the framework for your wedding, leaving you the freedom to personalize the rest. Weddings include two lodges and 15 glamping tents for friends and family to stay on-site. Here’s what else you can expect:

  • Access to our outdoor ceremony field, front yard, outdoor kitchen, pavilion area, and 4,800 sq. ft. barn.

  • Choice of two wooden arches.

  • Ceremony chairs.

  • Parking for up to 150 cars.

  • 8' rectangle tables.

  • 4' round tables.

  • 4' rectangle tables.

  • 6' picnic tables with attached benches.

  • 10" dinner plates.

  • 6" dessert/appetizer plates.

  • Flatware sets, excluding steak knives.

  • Mason jar glasses.

  • Reception chairs.

  • 40-cup coffee pot.

  • Optional rehearsal dinner space for 50 guests.

  • Fire pit with firewood.

  • A small ice machine.

  • An indoor bar setup with a 4-tap keg system, including C02.

  • Yard games for guest enjoyment.

  • Staff to assist with the setup and breakdown of tables and chairs.

  • An on-site HR representative available throughout your special day.

  • On-site garbage collection with receptacles, garbage cans, and bags.

  • Access to the reception barn for setup and decorating during check-in.

  • Clean up until checkout time.

  • Miscellaneous decor.

We also provide two spacious indoor kitchens with plenty of refrigerator and freezer space, as well as an outdoor kitchen featuring a gas grill, smoker, pizza oven, and a barbeque pit.

Overnight Accommodations at the Ranch

Two-night minimum applies

Weddings at Hardscrabble Ranch are multi-day celebrations that feel like reunions. With seasonal accommodations for up to 54 overnight guests, your closest friends and family can stay together, relax, and make lasting memories throughout the entire event. Each guest will also enjoy deluxe, hotel-quality linens, premium pillows, and high-quality mattresses.
