We named our property Hardscrabble Ranch, inspired by a nearby peak and also because we’re a work in progress—still figuring things out, far from perfect, but proud to share our beautiful guest ranch with others.

We will notify you in advance if there are no groups immediately before or after yours, we’re happy to offer flexibility when it’s available.

Hardscrabble Ranch offers a unique opportunity to unplug from notifications—a welcome escape for most. Guests should expect to be without cell service while staying with us. 

Starlink satellite internet is available in both lodges, though we cannot guarantee internet connection at the ceremony site or in the glamping tents.

We encourage all of our guests to build their own multi-day activity calendar. Whether you're seeking a relaxing retreat or a weekend packed with activity, there’s a variety of experiences to suit every pace and passion on the ranch and nearby.

For your evening entertainment, each lodge is equipped with Smart TVs and HDMI adapters, perfect for enjoying your pre-downloaded content. We also offer a selection of puzzles, board games, and a chess set.

We live in a beautiful, yet fire-prone, wooded area. To ensure safety, we adhere to the U.S. Forest Service’s guidelines and prohibit open fires whenever restrictions are in place. Our firepit is available for use and enjoyment, weather permitting.

Fireworks and sparklers are always strictly prohibited.

Let us help you bring some structure to your dreaming. Optional services, including support from our experienced on-site event planner, are available if you need extra support before or during your event.

We kindly ask that you remove all food, dispose of your trash in the provided bins, and clean any dishes before departure. If time allows, stripping the beds and gathering dirty towels in one place helps us maintain reasonable rates. 

We’ll take care of the laundry, trash service, and basic common area clean-up. Please note, any excessive mess, stains, vomit, or damage will result in additional fees, as outlined in your contract.

Adjacent to the barn, our upper parking lot accommodates 20-25 vehicles. Depending on the size of your group, many choose to reserve this space for guests staying in the lodges and event vendors. For larger events, we also have overflow parking, next to the upper parking lot, and a lower parking lot, located in the field next to the driveway.
